Meet Your Therapist & The Owner of Nourish Feeding and Speech

Welcome! I’m Sarah

I am so glad you are here!

As a parent who has experienced feeding difficulties with my own child I bring an empathetic perspective to my practice. As a speech language pathologist (SLP) serving the pediatric population my goal is to provide a positive therapy experience for your child and family using up to date research and proven practices. I have experience in a variety of settings ranging from the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) to Hippotherapy (horse therapy) that help me approach your child’s needs with a holistic perspective, that sometimes means thinking “outside of the box”!

I offer evidence-based, child-led and playful approaches to our therapy sessions in order to provide meaningful and lasting progress.

  • "Sarah is phenomenal!"

“Her patience, knowledge, kindness, and care have positively impacted our lives so much. I have seen incredible progress with my son Luke and can’t explain the joy of watching him grow with his speech, confidently navigating his AAC device, and continuing to learn skills to safely eat by mouth. I am forever grateful for Sarah and the opportunity of having her with us through this journey.”
    ~Amanda B.

How it All Works

  • Give us a call and let us know what your child’s feeding, speech, or oral motor goals are. Together we can figure out if our therapy services are the right fit for you and your family.

  • We will come to you! During your child’s in-home speech or feeding therapy evaluation, the speech-language pathologist (SLP) will get to know your child through observation, play, and child-led interactions. The evaluation includes a review of your child’s medical and developmental history, caregiver input, and informal and/or standardized assessments to better understand their current skills and challenges. Whether we’re looking at speech, oral motor function, or feeding, our goal is to create a full picture of your child’s strengths and needs in a comfortable, familiar environment. At the end, we’ll discuss our findings with you, answer any questions, and provide our recommendations.

  • Our goal is to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where your child feels safe, confident, and understood—whether we're working on feeding or speech skills. We gently challenge them through play to grow and reach their full potential, while always respecting their pace, comfort level, and personal boundaries.

  • Achieving your child’s goals in speech or feeding therapy is a team effort between your family and your speech-language pathologist (SLP). Progress happens through consistent, personalized sessions, playful and meaningful practice, and strong caregiver involvement. Your SLP will guide you every step of the way—setting clear goals, teaching strategies you can use at home, and celebrating progress big and small. When therapy continues beyond the session and becomes part of everyday routines, your child builds skills that truly last.

Billing

What Does Being an Out-of-Network Provider Mean?

At Nourish Feeding and Speech, we are currently an out-of-network provider, which means that our services are private-pay only. This allows me to offer personalized, flexible care without the restrictions and limitations often associated with insurance networks.

While I do not directly bill insurance companies, many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services. I am happy to provide you with a superbill—a detailed statement of services rendered—that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Please note that clients are responsible for submitting the superbill and contacting their insurance provider for specific questions regarding coverage, reimbursement rates, and claim procedures. I encourage you to check with your insurance company beforehand to understand your plan’s out-of-network benefits.

This approach allows me to focus on providing the highest quality of care to you and your child, without the constraints of insurance restrictions.
